WASHINGTON - David Wright was a late scratch from the Mets' lineup with a bruised left ring finger, a leftover indignity from the club's humiliating Labor Day loss to the Nationals, but he said Tuesday night he expects to play on Wednesday.
Wright injured his finger when he slid and was thrown cheap nfl jerseys

"I jammed my hand and finger sliding," Wright said. "I tried to go and kind of got overruled. They wanted to play it safe, and they thought today was good to take. I was planning on playing, but, err on the side of caution. I plan to play (Wednesday)."
METS MINUS 3 VISIT VETS
The Mets got what R.A. Dickey called "a very needed perspective on not only your life but what it takes to preserve your life" Tuesday when a group of players and team officials visited wounded military personnel at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
The event perhaps also offered perspective on the Mets' relationship with the three most prominent players who skipped the non-mandatory event - Carlos Beltran, Oliver Perez and Luis Castillo. All three have had issues with the Mets recently.
Still, David Wright was disappointed that everyone didn't go. "You'd like to see everybody. I don't think it's big enough until you get everybody.
"But we made a good showing and I think it meant a lot for those guys and it meant a lot for us. It's amazing to see how dedicated they are to this country. It makes your chest swell."
Dickey described an emotional afternoon in which he felt like Minnesota Vikings jersey

He said as soon as he was fitted for (prosthetics), he wanted to go back.
"Oh, my gosh, that's a different breed of human being, to be able to do something like that and want to do it."
JOHAN ON HOLD
The Mets are unsure when Johan Santana, who missed his scheduled start Tuesday night because of an injured pectoral muscle, will begin throwing again. "I think we'll wait until we get back, and the doctors will take a good look at him and probably put together a plan Pittsburgh Steelers jersey
from there," Jerry Manuel said.
